Ottawa, September 9, 2009
8:45 a.m.  - The Commissioner will make the opening remarks for the symposium 40 Years of Official Languages in Canada: Our History and the Path Ahead. He will participate in the symposium the entire day as well as the next day.                   

5:00 p.m. - The Commissioner will unveil the exhibition Déjà Vu: 40 Years of Language and Laughter in Political Cartoons. The opening of the exhibition will end at 7:00 p.m.   

Ottawa, September 10, 2009
5:00 p.m. - The Commissioner will speak to members and guests of the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada during their annual general
meeting.                            

Ottawa, September 11, 2009
12:00 p.m. - The Commissioner will speak to members and guests of the Quebec Community Groups Network during their annual general meeting.              

4:00 p.m. - The Commissioner will lead a Roundtable on the Role of Law in the Advancement of Language.
